Polyoxymethylene (POM)

Acetal plates are tough enough and strong enough to replace metal. Acetal is dimensionally stable under wet or humid conditions due to lower water absorption while resisting most organic solvents.

Acetal Co-Polymer offer high tensile and flexural strength, fatigue resistance, and hardness. They retain much of their toughness through a broad temperature range and are stocked in long lengths suited for most any part manufactured on automatic screw machines.

Acetal Delrin (a homopolymer) is a trademark of E.I. DuPont and offers high tensile strength, stiffness, and fatigue endurance with moderate toughness under repeated impact. In addition, Delrin has high resistance to organic solvents and excellent dimensional stability.
